The best way to lose weight is by speeding up the metabolism. There are a lot of natural foods that can help us achieve this. But, if you want to speed up your metabolism, you also need to pay attention to the spices that you use.

Scientists from the Medical Science University of Iran, conducted a study. They divide the participants into 2 groups. There were 88 women, who have problems with excess weight.

For the next three months the women from both groups were eating healthy and they consumed less than 500 calories a day. The only difference in their diet was the use of spices. The first group consumed 3 grams of cumin every day. They mixed the cumin with 140 grams of yogurt and consumed it every morning on an empty stomach. The second group, on the other hand, also consumed yogurt but without cumin.

The results of the first group are amazing. The first group of women after a period of 1 month lost 14 pounds more than the second group. They lost 14.64 % fat and the second one only 4.91 % fat.

This is mainly because the cumin is high in filosterole, which is able to prevent retention of cholesterol in our body. That is the main reason why cumin can speed up metabolism and make us lose extra weight.
